Darin Reyes

How many years did you attend VCS?

9 years.

What are your best memories from your time at VCS?

Football, Lunchtime Bible Studies, Homecoming and other events.

Did you grow in your personal faith as a result of your experiences at VCS?

Absolutely, I can’t tell you how many times I stayed during lunch to ask theological questions and how gracious Tim Brown and Bob Van Allen were, spending their lunch answering my questions. Tim Brown actually invited me and some friends to do a Bible study at lunch for a period of time. Those were great memories.

Please share your career experiences since graduating and your family highlights?

I’ve since started a media company called Dragon Roll Media here in Vacaville, after falling in love with the Media Tech class at VCS. I’ve done quite a few marketing pieces for VCS, actually. I also got married and had a few kiddos. I’m still hanging with quite a few lifetime friends from VCS, and have even gotten to film some weddings with my old VCS teacher Rachel Wurzbach. My career has taken me around the world and put me in front of quite a few celebrities, but my goal in life is to represent Jesus and be his arms and legs wherever he sends me. I can’t thank VCS enough for the firm foundation they’ve helped establish in my life.

What advice would you give to a student considering attending VCS?

Make the most of your time, there’s quite a lot of opportunities available to you!

Our children have been more open to praying out loud, coming home with new worship songs that they are in love with, and memorizing the Word to hold within their hearts.

We love the community at VCS. The interconnectedness of the teachers, staff, other parents and students is so special at VCS.
